Famous Artist Laura McMillian

Laura McMillian's work is informed by Appalachian history and folk tales, Costumes, parties, and folk celebrations. McMillian also drew inspiration from our local Chattanooga history and surroundings during her Residency program. The tales that inspired some of her works were " Milk Snakes" and "Lover's Leap" she used this to create and altered fantasy into a performance piece, and an art installation that incorporated sound, storytelling and a party atmosphere.
